FEATURE 1

TOMEI is a food artist from Japan, —whose name means clear or transparent in Japanese—specializes in stunning crystal clear confections. She crafts jelly cakes with a translucent appearance, suspending ingredients like strawberries and flowers in the form of the sweet.

CONTENT

Transparency, blue tones, freshness, and minimalism are the hallmarks of TOMEI. I designed this feature with these characteristics as inspiration, emphasizing color matching, graphic generalization, and white space.

FEATURE 2

Tell me a fable is a feature about a cake inspired by the fable "The Little Prince". It was made by a cake designer and chef, Nasa Mala Zavrzlama. He designed a multi-layer combination and design for the cake, adding elements of sugar sculpture and painting to make the characters in the book vividly present on the cake.

CONTENT

Childlike innocence, bright colors, delicate details, and elements that echo the Little Prince are the most attractive features of this cake. On this basis, I chose the style of the sketch and the touch of the paper as the visual direction for this feature. At the same time, I used illustrations and quotes from books to increase the fun of reading.

FEATURE 3

Dinara Kasko is a talented dessert designer and pastry chef from Ukraine. Her works have a distinct geometric style, hence she is also known as a pastry architect. In this feature, the emphasis is placed on her Geometric kinetic starts series.

CONTENT

3D printing technology, ensemble styling, minimalism, and high saturation colors make Dinara Kasko's desserts stand out from the crowd. I introduced her works and characteristics from multiple perspectives, using her label as the theme. Bright red, as her representative color, was chosen by me as the theme color for this feature.

FEATURE 4

Keep the spring is a feature with the theme of spring weddings. In this story, you can experience a lively and grand wedding, from the preparation of the wedding, the blessings of friends, the holding of the wedding ceremony, and the enjoyment of sweet love and desserts.

CONTENT

Nature, freshness, vows, and love are the keywords I have chosen for this feature. I use tender green as the symbol of spring, using handwritten script to present a relaxed and sweet wedding, and serif to express the serious vows between lovers.
